Join Us for Bible Study

Sunday Morning Bible Studies:

led by Pastor Heckert at 9:15 a.m.

“Prediger.” That’s the German word for “preacher,” and that’s who Luther originally wrote his Large Catechism for the first-generation of Lutheran parish preachers and ministers ... who were woefully undereducated in theology. Some couldn’t name all Ten Commandments or say the Creed. The Catechism was an indispensable tool for them, and helped them teach their parishioners the faith, faithfully. It’s a deeper dive into the theology learned in the Small Catechism, and it’s what Pastor Heckert is going to be examining for ten weeks. For this study, we will look at the first part of the LC, concerning the Ten Commandments. If you do not own a copy of the LC, you may find a free copy online at here.
