Summer Worship, Arts, & Music (SWAM) Camp

June 07, 2019
By Amanda Goodspeed

Come enjoy a week in God’s Word, music, and art, and top it off with a musical! Our Summer Worship, Arts, and Music (SWAM) camp will be held in tandem with VBS at St. James the week of June 17-21. Students may attend VBS in the morning where worship, crafts, and games will take place. Then, following a brief break for lunch (bring your own lunch) and recess time, SWAM will take over where we will focus on drama, music, and art from noon to 4 p.m. A performance of our work will be presented on Friday, June 21 at 6:00 p.m. Students do not need to participate in VBS to be in SWAM, but it is encouraged. SWAM camp is open to students finishing grades 1-8. The current cost is $75 per child or $150 maximum per family. After you register, an e-mail will be sent with the link to pay for camp online. Please contact Ms. Goodspeed with any questions at agoodspeed@stjameslaf.org.

Vacation Bible School

June 07, 2019
By Amanda Goodspeed

Lift off for an intergalactic adventure and learn about God’s plan of salvation from creation to the cross! Just as the earth revolves around the sun, our faith revolves around God’s Word. Keep Jesus and His Gospel at the center of your children’s VBS experience with Miraculous Mission. Vacation Bible School will be held the week of June 17-21 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and is open to students age 3 (and potty trained) to age 11. Those finishing grade 6 and older are invited to participate as helpers. We can always use more volunteers (can you ever have too many?) to help throughout the week. These roles include organizing and running the games station, grade level guides, craft station helpers and preschool classroom helpers. If you are not able to help during the VBS week, we need help with decorating days and donations. Please contact Ms. Goodspeed with any questions at agoodspeed@stjameslaf.org.
