Believe it or not, there are specific names and purposes for those dishes that
hold our Lord's Body and Blood. Just incase you are interested in learning

Chalice
– Cup used to contain wine at
celebration of Lord's Supper. Has been made of glass or precious metal
Pyx/Ciborium
- container used to hold the wafers for the Lord’s Supper.
Flagon
– Vessel for liquid; used when necessary besides chalice*
to hold Eucharistic wine; usually made of precious metal or glass.
Paten
– Dish,
usually of precious metal, for the bread in a Communion service
