Enrolling at St. James Lutheran School

Dear Parent,

Jesus expressed His love and care for children in Mark 10:14-16: “Let the children come to me...then He took the children in His arms…and blessed them.” Young children are unique creations of God who bring various experiences to their first years in school. In order to best meet the needs of the young children enrolled in the early childhood education program at St. James Lutheran School, the program’s staff will endeavor to do the following:

1.  Provide a Christ-centered curriculum;

2.  Create a safe and secure environment;

3.  Develop the children’s independence and ability to think for themselves;

4.  Nurture the development of the whole child;

5.  Provide children with the opportunity to create, explore, and discover;

6.  Affirm the importance of play as children’s work;

7.  Recognize each child for their unique qualities and foster healthy self-esteem so that each child might become all that God created him to be!

As Christians, we know that God has given the direct responsibility of the education of our children to the parent. It’s a tremendous task to undertake alone. Since 1851 our church has provided a school where the educational needs are met and the spiritual growth is guided and developed by the Christian Educators and Pastors. St. James is proud to offer these and many more blessings to those families who are enrolled. We would like you to become a part of our family.

St. James offers a 3 year-old PreSchool program which meets twice weekly, a 4 year-old PreKindergarten program which meets three times per week, a Kindergarten program and grades first through eighth. We welcome inquiries about our programs and invite you to come and visit.

For more information, visitation, and request for enrollment forms, complete the form on the back side of this letter and return it to the school office.

In His Service,

Randy Strakis, Principal
