2nd Grade News

January 21, 2019

Congratulations to the second graders and their families for the wonderful projects displayed at the Science Fair last week.  I really enjoyed the fantastic scientific knowledge that was shared!  Congratulations to Cassie Schoon for earning a Grand Champion in her grade level.

We are collecting items for the YWCA Women's Shelter for our Lutheran Schools Week service project.  Our goal is to collect at least one item per student in each class.  Please send in your items by Friday, January 25.  Thank you for your generosity!

In second grade, we have a goal of reading and passing 500 AR quizzes.  Our current total is 487 quizzes!  Hip, Hip, Hooray!

STAR Student of the Week:  Liz

The first and second graders are collecting empty cereal boxes to be used as Valentine's Day mailboxes in the month of February.  Until we have collected enough boxes, please send empty cereal boxes to school.  Thank you!

Please remember to check the home binder, ClassDojo chart, and sign the student planner nightly.  Please don't hesitate to send a Dojo message, email, call, or stop in the classroom if you have any questions.
