St. James Volleyball
St. James Lutheran School is proud to offer volleyball in a Christian environment for both boys and girls from 4th grade through 8th grade.  St. James competes against other private, parochial, and public schools in the greater Lafayette area.

4th-6th Grade Team
We Provide excellent training in basic skills in the 4th through 6th grades.  Our major goal at this level is to teach proper skills.  To help learn the proper skills we use the volleylite volleyball and a lower net.   They do play games, but the primary focus is on learning the basic skills. 

7th and 8th Grade Team
The 7/8 grade volleyball season features on average a 15 game schedule between September and October including two weekend tournaments.  This schedule is comparable to that of the local junior highs and prepares the kids to compete at the high school level. Over the years many St. James graduates have gone on to play volleyball at the high school level.

Boys are Encouraged to Play Volleyball at St. James
St. James is unique in that we not only allow boys to play, but encourage it. This is a great opportunity for boys who would like to play volleyball in high school.
