Youth Ministry

OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of the Youth Ministry at St. James Lutheran Church shall be to involve the youth in the work of Christ, to provide for their Spiritual and personal growth/nurture, to foster future leaders and to promote genuine Christian fellowship for the youth.

It is the constant goal of St. James, its Pastors, Directors of Christian Education and Board of Youth Ministry to provide opportunities for youth and their families to grow Spiritually and Holistically.  This web page provides a listing of the various activities that St. James provides for all youth.  We encourage all members of St. James, our neighbors and our friends to join us for any and all activities that are provided.  As our programs continue to grow here, and we hope that you will consider being a part of them.  Information about specific events can be found in the church bulletin, newsletters, this web page, or by calling the church office.  If you have any questions, comments or would like to join our Youth Ministry team, please contact Dave Probst in the church office at 423-1616.

Kids For Christ

All youth and their friends are invited to attend all events sponsored by St. James.  We recommend that everyone sign up for each event that they are planning to attend.  This process will help all those planning for the event to properly accommodate for any supplies, food, transportation, etc. that is required for the event.  Sign up sheets are available on Sunday mornings in Bible Study, or located on the Youth Bulletin Board in the St. James Cafeteria.  If you are unable to sign up for the event in time, please contact Dave Probst in the church office or email him at dprobst@stjameslaf.org.

Depending on the event, a permission slip, registration fee, or other item may be required to participate.  Permission slips can be found on Sunday mornings, on the Youth Bulletin Board, or through Dave Probst.  Bulletins, Newsletters, this web page and other announcements will have specific details on what is necessary for the various activities.

If you are not currently on our mailing list and would like to be, feel free to contact Dave Probst.  We are always looking for new faces to participate and people who are eager to help.  We hope that you would consider this important ministry to our church and help our youth grow in Christ’s love and fellowship with one another.  If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to know more information, please call the church office (423-1616) or email Dave.
